Semnan is located at 216 km east of Tehran in the southern hillsides of the Alborz mountain range and the north of the Kavir desert on the way of Tehran to Khorasan with the height of 1130 m above the sea level .This city enjoys an arid and temperate climate. Semnan consists of one part "Markazi", one City and one rural district.
