In the 12th century AH, during the late Safavid era, he became one of the most famous calligraphers in Iran, pioneering a new style in Naskh script. His mastery extended beyond Naskh to other styles such as Nastaliq and Shekasteh, leaving behind exquisite works. Sultan Neyrizi opened his eyes to the world in Neyriz city, Fars province, and his first surviving work is Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya written in 1087 AH. He left behind 99 volumes of the Quran, 77 volumes of Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, and many other prayers and inscriptions in his distinctive style, which are preserved in major museums in Iran and around the world. One of his greatest works is the Vaziri Quran, transcribed by Abdul Wahab Mozhheb Bashi in 1292 AH, which was later gifted to King Mas'ud of Arabia in 1332 AH. Another precious work by Neyrizi is a Quran transcribed by him in 1128 AH, which was completed over 30 years in Isfahan under the supervision of skillful craftsmen in illumination and design.
